Day #15. A Quick Parameter Test

A slight reading of Ammonia observed. 0.25 ppm.
Zero Nitrite.

And a Nitrate test was done against aged tap water, as a control.
The Aronami tank appears to have improved greatly at a good rate, now it is at 10-20ppm.

Day #9. Daily WC and mechanical media replaced

I came across a shop that have a Nitrate removing filter media.
I stuffed a couple of set between the top filter partition.
Same WC regime.
30% water displaced with Aged water.
This was continuously performed every night, making tonight as the 9th WC in 9 days.
Here is the result.

Ammonia is 0.
Nitrite is 0.
Nitrate is 40-60.

All measured in ppm, parts per million.

Day #2. Water Change Regime Continues

Removing Nitrate is done gradually, avoiding the acute effect from extreme water change. Extreme Water Change could expose higher risk to stress, WC sparingly.
Filter media backwashed with removed tank water.
30% volume from the tank was displaced with an Aged (chlorine treated & aerated) water.
System was left to settle before Nitrate test was performed.
The test result is as below.

There is a reasonable improvement from the night before.

Day #1. Aronami - it all began 8 days ago

II returned to the routine of feeding the fishes.
29th December 2014 -
Aronami appears to be negating me whenever I am near it.
She barely eat. No appetite for destruction.

Water parameter tests was done and this is the result. Nitrate is OFF the Chart. A prolonged Nitrate exposure could be fatal.
